'Three Star Excellent' Supported Living Services:
The Care Quality Commission [CQC] recently completed a full review [key inspection] of our supported living services, which resulted in an overall quality rating of 'three star excellent service'.
The Inspector was so impressed with the services he visited [on his unannounced inspection] that he had no requirements or recommendations to make in any of the five themed outcomes of the National Minimum Standards [which are written by the Department of Health]:
- User focussed services
- Personal Care
- Protection
- Managers & Staff
- Organisation and running of the business
We are very pleased with this Inspection Report, and we recognise the quality of support offered by our skilled staff teams.
The Inspector visited some services and sent surveys to people who use Brothers of Charity Services.  Our person responded stating "They help me to go out, to see my family, to move so that I can live with my friends, and they help me with my job".  Other people said "They support me when I need to be helped" and described the support workers as "like friends".
The Inspector summarised all of the very positive feedback saying that "there were many good examples seen of people being treated with respect and dignity"... "overall, this was a service that provided excellent outcomes for the people that it supported".

We offer thanks and recognition to all our staff teams in undertaking their roles, keeping the vision and values of The Brothers of Charity alive and thriving.
