Creative Artists Set To Meet Chorley’s Mayor
An exhibition of original artwork by artists supported by the Creative Arts Team marks the opening of Chorley’s new Register Office at Devonshire House. Some of the artists will be attending the officially opening, 2nd September, where Councillor Atkinson will be making an opening speech. The event will also be attended by the Mayor of Chorley, Councillor Iris Smith.
The 26 paintings produced by 8 different artists are in a range of media including water colour, acrylic, inks, oil pastels and collage. The work will be displayed throughout the building including offices, reception areas and the Ceremony Suite. Artists will have the opportunity to sell their work and the collection will be on permanent display.
All the artists were very excited when asked to provide their artwork for the premises and it is hoped visitors will be impressed by the range of work on view.
