Maintaining Standards in National Vocational Qualifications:
Brothers of Charity [Lancashire] are an accredited centre for the delivery and assessment of Health and Social Care Awards at Levels 2 and 3, and as such have to submit to constant monitoring from the City and Guilds. The latest of these external verification visits from City and Guilds took place on 6th June 2010.
The visit went extremely well and I am pleased to report that we have maintained our current high status with no action points to meet.
Particular comments were received around the observation of candidates and how matters are handled sensitively and supportively, the verifier also commented on how enthusiastic the interviewed candidates were about the awards and support they have received. Further comments were expressed on the high standard of portfolios, how neatly they are put together and the consistency of our centre recording procedures.
Thanks to candidates and the assessment team involved with NVQ's for their continued high standards of work produced and the quality of assessment within our centre.
