Lancashire Wildlife Trust partners with Chorley Council to provide environmental education:
Lancashire Wildlife Trust has recently embarked on an exciting new partnership with Chorley Council to provide environmental education activities on Chorley's parks and reserves, working alongside the Council's ranger service.
The LWT is planning to deliver sessions at Astley Park, combining heritage activities from Astley Hall and sessions at our Pets Corner with groups being able to 'pick and mix' from an exciting range of programmes, so that a school might spend the morning learning about the Tudors in the Hall and the afternoon doing a mini beast hunt in the park.
This exciting new offer will be launched in September and as well as school groups, sessions are on offer to a variety of groups such as beavers and brownies, who may want to learn all about minibeasts or go on a scavenger hunt.
For any more information or to book a visit, please contact Project Officer, Zoe Garland, on the number given below. Why not come along and enjoy the fun!
