Anchor Project

Anchor Project

We work in partnership with Anchor Staying Put (National Charity) providing a garden maintenance service for homeowners who are elderly and/or disabled and have been identified by means testing as being on low incomes. This service is not only about people learning horticultural skills but it is about many ‘softer’ outcomes such as developing friendships, natural integration and inclusion in the community.

People who access this service and aspire to employment can gain skills whilst with Anchor Staying Put and then may progress to Heaton Street.
