Worden Walled Garden

Worden Walled Garden

We are a very inclusive and interactive project based in the heart of Worden. The project is supported by the South Ribble Partnership and South Ribble Borough Council and is run on a partnership basis with other agencies. The Brothers of Charity Services are the lead organisation in the partnership with Self Unlimited and  Crossways (LCC Adult and Community Services). We support people to grow vegetables, cut flowers and plants in the Walled Garden and we sell our produce to park visitors. Eventually we are hoping to make it a historical visitor attraction in Worden Park.
The walled garden is open to the general public for anyone to see work in progress.

The walled garden is also used as a community facility. Other community groups such as local schools, colleges and volunteers use the garden for various learning activities. We hold events which are open to the public such as ‘pumpkin carving’ and ‘wreath making’ tying in with the other park activities organised by park rangers and the Arts and Craft Centre.
